The heads of “REM&Coil” took part in the competition for the projects protection of OPD Polytech
On September 27th and 28th took place the final of the interinstitutional competition "Fundamentals of Practical Activity" (OPD) from St. Petersburg Polytechnic University
An emphasis of the competition final was the project self-presentation for 5 minutes, and the same amount of time for answering the jury members’ questions.
The results of the competition were announced immediately after the presentations were completed and the jury's scores were calculated.
The jury members Novikov Alexander Gennadievich and Lyubimov Konstantin Vladimirovich noted:
- multifunctional cross-platform assistance service for shelters and pets iShelt. Every year from 30 thousand animals in shelters only one pet finds a new home. Moreover, few people are even aware of local shelters in St. Petersburg and how to contact them. To correct these statistics, the team decided to create an application that will help with this.
- a project for development of financial literacy among children 7+ through educational cartoons. Modern children are getting used to the role of money in a person's life very early. They hear conversations about money and finances at home, on TV. Many young people start using money on their own early, receiving it for pocket expenses. In fact, a modern child grows up in the world of financial relations, realizing from childhood that many things he or she wants can be bought with money. Few children like to read and are able to deeply analyze what they read. The Internet as a source of information about finances is also difficult for a child. There is one suitable source of information – animated films and board games that provide knowledge about the world of finance and economics, in which a child can be the main actor and practically learn to manage their finances competently.
On behalf of the company, all team members were issued with pleasant prizes and certificates for paid internship at the company.
