The German group company decided to withdraw from the Russian market against the background of events in Ukraine

The companies of the North-Western Electromechanical Corporation LLC (SZEMO) will be able to ensure uninterrupted operation and timely maintenance of any industrial electric motors, including foreign production. This was reported by the press office of the holding in connection with the statement of Siemens about withdrawing from the Russian market.

"St. Petersburg enterprises belonging to the group of companies for the repair of electric machines will be able to ensure the smooth functioning and timely maintenance of any industrial electric motors (including foreign production). The withdrawal of the German group company Siemens from the Russian market will affect such industries as transport, energy, mining, and may also affect the processes of automation and digitalization of production. The holding, whose companies specialize in the repair of electric machines and the production of spare parts for them, are ready to arrange the supply of components and offer a domestic alternative for the repair and operation of any types of electric motors," the statement reads.

In particular, we are talking about the holding companies located in St. Petersburg: the Rem&Coil plant (produces coils of stators and armatures for DC and AC motors) and the PA Electromachine LLC (repairs large industrial electric motors).

Earlier, the German group company Siemens announced that it would leave the Russian market amid the events in Ukraine. In 2018, the Siemens group company celebrated the 165th anniversary of its activities in Russia.
