Лесовосстановление от Rem&Coil

On 24 September, linden trees were planted in Krasnoye Selo by plant employees in cooperation with the municipal administration.

This action was the next part of the tree and shrub planting project in 2021 from socially responsible company Rem&Coil. This program aims to take care of the environment and contribute to the landscaping and beautification of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

As a result of the event, 15 linden trees were planted. Half of them on balance with old, withered trees, and the other half were planted on new sites to create a square (or alley) in the future. All planting locations had to be coordinated with the relevant authorities. Moreover, we always try to choose tree species in accordance with the wishes of these organizations.

During the planting process, both REM & Coil's general director A. Novikov and the company's employees, and Igor Aleksandrovich Ivanov, head of the local administration of Krasnoye Selo and his deputy Victor Anatolievich Ulyanov were attended.

Briefly about the project itself, in 2021 we have already planted over 3,200 trees and shrubs in various locations in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, particularly in the territory of the Bryantsev Theatre of Young People in the Admiralty district, on Orekhova Hill and in the Gatchina forestry.

Vyacheslav Yurievich Russkikh, as a representative of St. Petersburg industrial companies, initiated an environmental project to plant 6,000 trees and shrubs in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region to compensate the damage from the activities of their own enterprises (carbon dioxide emission). This project is one of the most massive commercial planting of green spaces in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. At the beginning of this year, the company's economists calculated the number of trees that need to be planted to offset the carbon footprint of the two plants. The calculation took into account production figures (electricity, heating, water consumption) and the data of each employee (vehicles, food, clothing and entertainment costs).

By participating in tree planting in one way or another, we are investing in the future!
