New production line: bars by Rem&Coil
Bars are a separate type of stator winding commonly used for large generators and turbine generators over 15,000 kVA. Manufacturing and laying of sections for such machines is rather difficult due to the dimensions of these electrical machines.
And in September 2020 at Rem & Coil, we opened a new line for the production of bars.
The bars for the STDP-12500 machine became a pilot project:
Specifications:
∙ 12500 kW, 10000 V, 3000 rpm.
Overall dimensions of these bars:
∙ Overall length - 3400 mm.
∙ Length of slot part cross section 2200 mm.
∙ Section of the groove part 20x42 mm.
Insulation and forming of these bars was carried out on automated insulating and forming machines using VPI technology.
It should be noted that during the manufacturing process, the technology of making bars with transposition in the slotted part was mastered (in English, such bars are called Roebel-bar stator windings).
The order was completed on time and delivered to the customer. In the future, the customer plant carried out the laying, impregnation, baking and painting.
To continue this project, Rem & Coil's design department has now begun to design universal bars forming equipment.
