For the sake of health: collective restoration of the park and forest
Trees are the lungs of cities that improve the environment. And each new plant is our indefinite contribution to the common cause.
April 23, 2021 at 17.00 on the territory of the Theatre for Young Spectators named after AA Bryantsev in the Admiralteisky district, the first action on planting trees and shrubs took place within the framework of a reforestation project from socially responsible companies «REM and Coil» and «SZEMO Elektromashina». This program is aimed at caring for the environment and contributing to the landscaping and improvement of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
The action was attended by the general director of the «SZEMO Electromashina» Russkikh V.Yu. and the general director of the "REM and Coil" Novikov A.G., as well as representatives of the legislative, executive and municipal authorities: First Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Soloviev S.A., the head of the Admiralteisky district Overchuk S.I. and the head of the municipality Semenovsky Lipinsky Ya.A.
Vyacheslav Yuryevich Russkikh, as a representative of St. Petersburg industrial companies, initiated an environmental project to plant 6,000 trees and shrubs in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region to compensate for damage from the activities of their own enterprises (emission of carbon dioxide).
This project is one of the most massive commercial plantings of green spaces in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. At the beginning of this year, the plant's economists calculated the environmental damage caused by the two plants. The calculation took into account production indicators (electricity, heating, water supply) and the data of each employee (vehicles, food, clothing and entertainment costs).
The garden on Pionerskaya Square near the Theatre for young spectators was not chosen by chance for the first action. This is a well-known place for all residents of the city and a favorite theatre for young spectators. The planting of 100 lilac bushes and cotoneaster by the staff of «REM and Coil» and «SZEMO Electromashina» and their children has become very symbolic. The next planting sites for trees and shrubs in St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region will be determined in the near future. Some of the trees and shrubs will be planted in the forestry enterprise on the territory of the Leningrad Region.
By participating in tree planting in one way or another, we contribute to the future!
