Business meeting of REM & Coil delegation with Belarusian BELAZ.
Last week, on March 28, a delegation from REM & Coil plant visited BELAZ, the world's largest manufacturer of dump trucks and transport equipment for mining and construction industry, in Zhodino (Belarus).
Belarusian mining dump trucks are known all over the world and have gained a reputation as reliable vehicles even in the harshest operating conditions of open-pit mining. Over the entire history, the Belarusian Automobile Plant has developed more than 500 modifications of quarry dump trucks with a lifting capacity from 27 to 450 tons, produced over 146 thousand units of quarry dump trucks, the geography of which includes 72 countries of the world.
Recently, BelAZ's main competitors (Caterpillar, Kamatsu, Kamins, Liebherr) left the market and this undoubtedly influenced the manufacturer's business strategy. Therefore, the purpose of this visit is to obtain up-to-date information on the transport market and form new offers for spare parts for electric cars. The meeting was held with the head of the Industrial cooperation department and the deputy chief designer.
In addition to the negotiations, a tour around the factory museum was organized for the representatives of Russian REM & Coil plant and they were allowed to climb into the driver's cabin of the largest dump truck with a capacity of 240 tons.
REM & Coil has been supplying BELAZ with sections of stator windings for traction motors and generators through suppliers for many years. The plant plans to maintain profitable cooperation and regularly exchange up-to-date information and changes taking place in this market. The delegations agreed on a return visit by BELAZ representatives to the section manufacturing plant.
