We are forced to report that President Vladimir Putin in his televised address to the Russians declared the next week paid non-working days. Thus, the long weekend will be from the nearest Saturday, March 28, to April 5, Sunday.
This decision was made in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection.
“Long days-off are planned to reduce the rate of spread of the disease. I appeal to all citizens of the country, let's not act, relying on our Russian “off-chance” - Putin said. He stressed that all measures taken to counter the spread of coronavirus, as well as those that will be taken, will have effect only if Russians are united. The head of state called on Russians to comply with all recommendations, to show responsibility in light of coronavirus and to stay at home. This is especially true for the most vulnerable groups, the older generation and those with chronic diseases.
