A set of coils for Kazakhstan metallurgical company
In November Kazakhstan metallurgical company (the largest manufacturer of zinc, lead, copper and precious metals) placed an order for a set of coils for the STD-10000-2 electric motor.
These synchronous STD turbo engines with a capacity from 2500 to 12500 kW powered by a three-phase alternating current network with a frequency of 50 Hz are designed to drive pumps, compressors, gas superchargers, blowers and other high-speed mechanisms operating in non-explosive environments indoors in temperate climates.
To implement the project, the technologies were refined and the machines were modernized:
- the technology of applying insulation on machines for tracks (workpieces) with a length of more than 3000 mm was improved. This is due to the fact that the total length of the section after the molding stage is 2760 mm (the rectilinear part is 2000 mm), and the track (blank) is 3200 mm long.
- the tooling for the molding machine was made. Since the maximum length of the rectilinear part provided by the machine was 1900 mm, the engineers and technologists of the plant had to increase the holders of the grooved parts of the coil by applying manufactured tooling.
- the crimping of the grooved parts of the coils took place on hydraulic presses with software control and forced cooling system which made it possible to achieve high-quality pressing.
